About this project

We replaced the roof on this Xenia brick ranch in a single day.

Roof-deck condition

After tear-off, the existing OSB deck was in good condition, so no sheathing was replaced.

What we did

Before tear-off, we covered the yard around the house with tarps.

We installed ice and water shield at the eaves and in the valleys, with RhinoRoof synthetic underlayment over the rest of the roof.

We cut the ridge open for a ridge vent and finished the roof with Owens Corning Duration shingles.
