Lifetime Workmanship Warranty
Helping Hands Roofing stands behind the quality of the work we install. Our Lifetime Workmanship Warranty reflects a simple commitment: if a covered installation fails because of our workmanship, we will return and make it right.
What workmanship responsibility means
If a covered installation develops a problem because of an installation error by Helping Hands Roofing, we will return and correct the workmanship failure. The material and labor necessary to correct a covered workmanship issue are provided at no expense to the homeowner.
This warranty covers the quality of Helping Hands Roofing's installation. It does not guarantee against damage, material defects, lack of maintenance, alterations by others, severe weather, or other conditions unrelated to our workmanship.
What's covered
The Lifetime Workmanship Warranty applies to qualifying installation and replacement work performed by Helping Hands Roofing, including:
- Roof replacement
- Commercial asphalt shingle roofing
- Seamless gutter installation and replacement
- Gutter guard installation
- Fascia, soffit, and custom aluminum trim
Coverage applies when a failure in one of these installed systems is determined to have been caused by Helping Hands Roofing's workmanship.
The Lifetime Workmanship Warranty does not apply to isolated spot repairs, emergency tarping, inspections, roof maintenance services, insurance claim assistance, or other services that are not qualifying installation or replacement projects. When Helping Hands Roofing rebuilds a complete roof elevation as a new roofing system, that reconstructed elevation is a qualifying installation and is covered on the same terms as any other covered installation.
What's not covered
The Lifetime Workmanship Warranty covers workmanship-related failures. It does not cover problems caused by circumstances unrelated to Helping Hands Roofing's installation, including:
- Lack of proper maintenance
- Intentional or accidental damage
- Defects in materials or products
- Storm damage, hail, wind, falling debris, severe weather, or other events outside Helping Hands Roofing's control
- Damage caused by modifications, penetrations, repairs, additions, or alterations performed by another party
- Other causes unrelated to Helping Hands Roofing's workmanship
If another person or contractor modifies, penetrates, repairs, or alters a covered installation, warranty coverage may be affected when that work causes, contributes to, or prevents Helping Hands Roofing from reasonably determining the cause of the claimed failure.
How warranty claims are handled
- The homeowner contacts Helping Hands Roofing and describes the issue.
- Helping Hands Roofing schedules an inspection.
- We inspect the affected area in person.
- We determine the cause of the problem based on the conditions observed.
- If the problem is determined to be a covered workmanship failure, Helping Hands Roofing performs the necessary corrective work.
- Material and labor required to correct the covered workmanship failure are provided at no expense to the homeowner.
- If the problem is caused by an excluded condition or something unrelated to Helping Hands Roofing's workmanship, that issue is not covered by the Lifetime Workmanship Warranty.
Our goal is straightforward: determine what happened, identify the actual cause, and stand behind our work when the issue is ours.
Homeowner responsibilities
A roofing system requires reasonable maintenance throughout its life. Homeowners are expected to properly maintain their roof and have its condition checked approximately every five years so developing maintenance issues can be identified and addressed.
Failure to properly maintain the roof does not automatically eliminate workmanship coverage. However, if lack of maintenance causes or contributes to the reported failure, the resulting issue may not be covered by the Lifetime Workmanship Warranty.
Homeowners should also contact Helping Hands Roofing before making modifications or allowing work that could affect a covered installation whenever reasonably possible.
One-time warranty transfer
The Lifetime Workmanship Warranty may be transferred to a new homeowner one time, subject to Helping Hands Roofing's approval.
The selling homeowner should contact Helping Hands Roofing before transferring the warranty so we can schedule an inspection of the covered work. Helping Hands Roofing will inspect the installation, evaluate its condition and maintenance, and determine whether the warranty qualifies for transfer.
A warranty transfer is not effective until approved by Helping Hands Roofing.
Manufacturer material warranties
Manufacturer warranties covering shingles and other products are separate from the Helping Hands Roofing Lifetime Workmanship Warranty. Those warranties are provided and administered by the product manufacturer.
If a homeowner believes a material may be defective, Helping Hands Roofing will help evaluate the issue and assist the homeowner with contacting the manufacturer and beginning the claim process. We will advocate for our customer and provide reasonable assistance during that process.
The manufacturer ultimately determines whether a material defect is covered under its warranty.
