The roof was about 20 years old, a three-tab shingle roof with storm damage.
Another roofing company had looked at it and passed on the claim, expecting the insurance company would not cover it.
The claim
We documented the damage and met the adjuster; the insurer then covered the roof. Then we installed an Owens Corning Duration roof system.
What we did
We removed the old roof and cleaned the deck.
We installed ice and water shield at the eaves, synthetic underlayment over the rest of the deck, and Owens Corning Duration shingles.
